Digital scanning, in-office production and a fitting checked by your dentist.
For eligible cases, we aim to have your nightguard ready for fitting in 1–2 business days after your scan and treatment approval. Our team confirms production timing and your fitting appointment. Design review, holidays, production needs and appointment availability can affect the schedule.

Start with an assessment
If you grind or clench your teeth, an assessment can help you understand whether a custom nightguard is appropriate. Dr. Toghrul Ibrahimli, General Dentist, reviews your teeth, bite and concerns before recommending an appliance. A nightguard is intended to help protect teeth from damage associated with grinding or clenching; it does not necessarily stop those habits.
Worn or chipped teeth, sensitivity and tired jaw muscles can have different causes. Bring any appliance you already use. Your dentist reviews your history, examines your mouth and discusses the findings. Some people need monitoring or a different approach instead of a guard.
From your digital scan to your fitting
When a custom guard is recommended, we use a Medit i700 digital scan to record your teeth for planning. Your dentist reviews the proposed design before production. Our in-office SprintRay workflow includes printing, processing, finishing and professional checks. Learn about our digital dental tools.
Ready for fitting means the appliance is prepared for its clinical fit check. It does not mean every patient can collect it within that window. The team confirms the fitting appointment after reviewing your case and the schedule.
Fitting and ongoing care
At your fitting, the dentist checks how the guard sits and how your teeth meet against it, with adjustments when needed. We explain how and when to wear it, how to clean and store it, and when to bring it back for review. Contact us if it becomes uncomfortable, damaged or no longer fits. Dental changes may mean it needs adjustment or replacement.
Questions about custom nightguards
Do I need a guard if I grind my teeth?
Not everyone does. Your dentist considers tooth wear, symptoms and examination findings before recommending treatment.
Does the digital scan replace an examination?
No. It records the shape of your teeth for planning. An examination is still needed to decide what care is appropriate.
Will this treat snoring or sleep apnea?
This service concerns guards for grinding or clenching. Tell your dentist about sleep-related concerns so they can discuss the appropriate assessment pathway.
What will it cost?
We explain the proposed appliance, fees and any follow-up charges before you decide. Insurance benefits depend on your individual plan. Ask our team about the assessment fee when arranging your visit.
