Dental implant surgery is a process of replacing missing or damaged teeth with titanium posts. These posts function like tooth roots topped with artificial teeth.
Before work can begin, we will perform an initial procedure to remove the damaged tooth or teeth.
Once this groundwork is complete, the first step of dental implant surgery is to surgically implant titanium posts into your jaw bone to replace the roots of your teeth.
After this procedure, the affected area needs time to heal while the jaw bone grows into the post. This bone growth ensures a strong base for your new artificial tooth. It can take a few months for the bone growth to be complete. Once the healing process and bone integration is complete around the implant, we will attach the artificial tooth-the crown-specially made to match your remaining teeth.
